Loopfietsentexel.nl takes care of your personal data. This privacy statement explains which data we process, why we do so and what rights you have.

We are responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this statement.

Bookings and contact

When you book a walking bike or contact us by email, WhatsApp or phone, we process the details you give us: your name, your phone number and/or email address, the date and time of your booking, the number of people and the content of your message. We do this to handle your booking and to stay in touch with you about your ride.

We keep this data no longer than necessary: up to one year after your ride. Data we need for our accounts is kept for seven years, as required by law.

If you contact us via WhatsApp, the conversation runs through WhatsApp (Meta), and WhatsApp's privacy policy also applies.

Copy of your ID

We do not charge a deposit. Instead, we ask for a copy of your ID as security while you have the walking bike. We delete this copy as soon as you have returned the bike. You may cover up details we do not need, such as your ID number and passport photo, on the copy.

Our website

Our website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising services, or contact forms.

Server logs. As with any website, our hosting provider records technical details of a visit, such as your IP address and the time. These are needed to keep the website secure and working, and are deleted automatically after a short time.
External services. For its animations, the website loads code via cdnjs (Cloudflare), which sees your IP address. If you click the video, it plays via Adilo. If you click 'Activate map', the map and map software are loaded via OpenStreetMap and cdnjs. In those cases your IP address is also passed on to that service.
Game. The error page has a small game. Your best score is stored only in your own browser and is not sent to us.
Links to other websites. Our website links to Google (reviews) and WhatsApp, among others. Their own privacy policies apply on those websites.

Sharing with others

We do not sell your data. We only share it with the services needed for the purposes above, or when the law requires us to.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. Only we have access to your booking details.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You can also object to its use, or ask us to transfer your data to you or to someone else. Send your request to info@loopfietsentexel.nl. We will respond within one month.

If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, please let us know. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

We may update this privacy statement. The latest version is always available on this page.
